Tanner Jones, Research Analyst at the Baldwin County, Alabama Economic Development Alliance, is this month’s special guest on Economic Development Secrets. Baldwin EDA has a focus on business recruitment, workforce development, and existing industry support, throughout Baldwin County.
In his role with Baldwin EDA, Tanner is responsible for data and intelligence gathering in support of the organization’s innovative business development efforts. He gathers and analyzes public and private demographic, workforce, and industry data and uses that information to tell Baldwin County’s story to potential new businesses and community stakeholders. Additionally, Tanner provides research support for Baldwin EDA’s public and private partners throughout the county and oversees most of Baldwin EDA’s communication efforts, including the organization’s website.
Prior to joining the Baldwin County team, Tanner worked as a Graduate Research Assistant for the Trent Lott National Center for Economic Development and Entrepreneurship at The University of Southern Mississippi, and as a Research Intern with the North Florida Economic Development Partnership. He graduated from The University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and a Master of Science degree in Economic Development.
